Agricultural Loan Evaluation System
ALES enables financial service providers to expand their agricultural lending in a low-risk, cost-effective, and faster way. This is achieved by automating the credit assessment process through an efficient and standardized scoring of agricultural loans.
History
2008
An excel-based “Client Assessment Programme – CAP Tool” was developed for six commercial banks and MFIs in Tajikistan which laid the foundation of ALES.
2011
ALES was developed with additional features, products and scoring for the use of Turkish financial institutions.
2012
One of the largest private commercial banks in Turkey started using a web-based version of ALES integrated with its core banking system.
2013
A centralized version of ALES (under the brand name of TARDES) was developed and offered for the use of whole financial sector in Turkey by the Turkish Credit Bureau (KKB).
2016
A customized version of ALES for the Chinese agriculture sector was developed for a regional bank in China.
2017
A web-based version of ALES tailored for the Azerbaijani agriculture sector was developed.
2018
Micro-lending version of ALES was developed for the use of a Zambian microfinance institution.
2019
Centralized version of ALES including cash flow analysis function was developed and offered for the use of whole financial sector in Azerbaijan by the credit agency of Ministry of Agriculture.
2019
A specific version of web-based ALES was developed for an MFI operating in Kazakhstan.
2019
“Farmer ALES” was developed for the use of farmers and extension service providers and launched for the first time in Azerbaijan.
2019
ALES was customized in line with the Cypriot agriculture sector and offered to the use of a commercial bank in Northern Cyprus.
2020
Egyptian ALES has been developed in cooperation with the country’s credit bureau and in consultation with the FIs.
2021
Web-based ALES has been adapted to work offline on Android mobile devices. Android ALES has been deployed to live in Zambia.
2022
Android ALES has been customized and deployed to live for the use of an MFI in Kazakhstan.
2023
Climate smart loan evaluation algorithms are being incorporated to ALES.
